The Sound Of Music
One of the most beloved musicals of all time, The Sound of Music will be playing in Miami from December 8, 2015 thru January 3, 2016. Based on the true story of the Von Trapp family, this touring production opened to rave reviews in other cities.

Miami City Ballet: The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker ballet is a classic holiday tradition which can be enjoyed by all ages. The world-famous Miami City Ballet brings this family favorite to life with a cast of more than 100 dancers, spectacular sets, stunning costumes, special effects and the wonderful music of Tchaikovsky.
The Nutcracker is one of the most popular ballets in the world and tells the magical story of Marie and her Prince. If you have never seen a ballet, this show is a great place to start and Miami is one of the few places in the world where you can see the special George Balanchine version of the production.

The production was updated in 2013 and has received rave reviews. The show is beautiful and dramatic and is recommended for children ages 10 and older.

Kinky Boots is a relative newcomer to the Broadway musical scene, but since it's debut in 2013, it has delighted audiences and nabbed six Tony Awards including Best Musical. The musical score was written by 80's pop icon Cyndi Lauper, so you know to expect the unexpected when watching this show!
Kinky Boots has the inspirational and upbeat theme of friendship overcoming prejudice. Set in a shoe factory in England, Kinky Boots is based on a true story. This show does have adult themes, so it may be unsuitable for children.

Cirque du Soleil, Toruk
The newest show from Cirque du Soleil, Toruk: The First Flight, is coming to Miami in March, 2016. The production is based on the 2009 movie Avatar, written and directed by Academy Award winning director, James Cameron.
As with all Cirque du Soleil shows, the production and performers are simply breathtaking. The story is a prequel to the events shown in the Avatar movie taking place on Pandora thousands of years before the setting of the film version. Toruk - The First Flight, explores the story of Toruk, the King of the Sky.
Cirque du Soleil's Toruk - The First Flight, is playing from March 10, 2016 thru March 16, 2016 at the American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami. The show is suitable for ages 9 and up.
