4 Unforgettable Places To Go In Osaka

We've selected four locations that we guarantee will leave a lasting impression (in a good way)!

So, you’re going to Osaka, Japan and you want to make the most out of your trip. It’s impossible to have a bad time in Osaka, but maybe you’re looking for a place to go that’s extra special. You’re wanting to find that perfect spot that will always bring back a feeling of happiness. The problem is, there’s so many places to go that you can’t narrow them down. Don’t worry! The following destinations will give you the most amazing, unforgettable experiences of your life! These are the places that you’ll tell your grandchildren about while you're sitting in your rocking chair. Yes, they’re that cool!

1. Universal Studios

You want to make some memories? Plan a day to go exploring one of the most iconic places in Osaka. Universal Studios is guaranteed fun for all ages. Check out the Jurassic Park ride that gives you a close encounter with an agitated T. Rex. If you’re wanting something a little calmer, explore Universal Wonderland. Here you can get your Hello Kitty fix and hang out with Snoopy. On top of all the awesome rides and attractions, this place also has The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Go buy a wand from Ollivander’s, stock up on your prank supplies at Zonko’s Joke Shop and end the day riding a hippogriff! Try not to do any spells when you’re done being a wizard or witch for the day, you know you can’t do magic in front of Muggles.

Universal Studios is located at:

2 Chome-1-33 Sakurajima, Konohana Ward, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture 554-0031, Japan

2. Space Station Video Game Bar

Drinking and video games, what’s not to love? Don’t start squealing with excitement, but Space Station is the perfect spot where you can enjoy both activities at the same time. Yes, it’s a video game bar. This place has old school consoles like Genesis and NES set up so you can turn up the nostalgia and play the games you grew up with. With a friendly staff, variety of drinks, and more importantly, games, this place is a must! Even if you’re not a big gamer, you’re still going to have a blast! Like I said, there’s drinking AND video games. How many places can you go to that offers such a unique and exciting combination?

3. Spa World

Traveling is exhausting. You’ve been taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of Osaka all day and now you’re tired. Instead of going back to your room, enjoy a relaxing evening (or make it an all-day event) that only Osaka can give you. Spa World offers onsens (hot springs), saunas, swimming areas, a water park and much more! What makes this place special is that it offers bathing experiences from all over the world. Take an outside Japanese bath or enjoy the Italian Blue Grotta bath. Spa World lets you experience the bathing styles unique to both Asian and European countries. Go ahead and enjoy a massage while you’re there too! You deserve it! Before you leave, enjoy some delicious Japanese food and swing by the gift shop and game area. Spa World also has a hotel, so if you’re reading this and thinking that you won’t ever want to leave, I would suggest booking a room here. This place has it all and you’ll be glad you came here.

Get ready to relax at:

4. Minoo Park

Prepare to be in total awe at the beauty of Minoo Park (also spelled Minoh and Mino). This is definitely a place you will never forget. The best time to show up is in autumn. The colors really pop in November. You’ll see the vibrant reds, oranges and yellows the trees produce around this time. If you can’t make it in the fall, the park is still very pretty and something that you have to experience. It offers a paved walking trail that allows you to stroll through the forest, away from the fast-paced city life. As you walk, you’ll come across a gorgeous waterfall. Stop here and take a moment to appreciate the surroundings. You’ll also find some cute shops and restaurants to stop at along the way. There’s also an insect museum if you like icky bugs. Also, be sure to visit the Ryuanji Temple while you’re there. The temple is one of the oldest in Japan and stands out because of its location. The beautiful temple and the beautiful scenery may overwhelm you, so try not to cry. Did I mention that there’s monkeys? While you’re walking around, there’s a chance that you can see a wild monkey or two, so have your camera ready!

Put on your walking shoes and go to:

1-18 Minokoen, Mino 562-0002, Osaka Prefecture

Just so you know...

There are all kinds of places that you’ll absolutely love, but these spots are at the top of our list. However, please be aware that these spots may make you want to stay in Osaka forever. When you somehow manage to pry yourself away, you’ll be content with the fact that you had some of the best times of your life. We promise.
