2. Chihuly Garden and Glass

This exhibit opened May 21, 2012 at the Seattle Center. It showcases the work of renowned glass sculptor and Tacoma,Washington native Dale Chihuly.

Three primary components comprise the exhibit:

EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum is 140,000-square-feet-in-size. It was established in 2000 and is as a nonprofit and is dedicated to popular culture.

6. Woodland Park Zoo

Willawong Station - The Walk-through Bird Experience is open 9:30am -3:00pm daily
An Australian aviary where you can observe and feed ($1) approximately 70 free-flying birds in a closed environment. You can even watch the zoo staff train and care for the birds 11:30 a.m. Saturdays & Sundays

Historic Carousel – 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Weekends & Holidays Cost: $2, in addition to zoo admission.
Built in 1918, this piece of history was originally built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company for the Cincinnati Zoo. This carousel is one of the fewer than 150 of these vintage treasures still in operation today. Tom and Linda Allen’s Alleniana Foundation donated this piece in 2000..

Penguin Feeding Experience - 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. daily
These Humboldt penguins are a zoo favorite and you can even feed them for $5. You can also join the penguin keepers 2:00pm Saturdays & Sundays for Penguin Keeper Talk to hear about the amazing Humboldt penguins.

7. Boeing Factory Tour

"Experience the Future of Flight"


Don't miss the Future of Flight Aviation Center, which is where the Boeing Tour begins. The facility is only publicly available opportunity to tour a commercial jet assembly plant in North America and is the world's largest building (by volume). Visitors have the chance to watch Boeing 747, 777 and 787 Dreamliner jets being assembled.

For those interested in STEM, this will light up your interest. Compare the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner fuselage to an actual section of a fuselage from a Boeing 707. Materials Weight and Stiffness Tester achieves our mission and goal of providing interactive learning experiences that highlight aviation.

This gallery features flight systems controls like avionics, navigations and hydraulics of the Boeing 727 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
