Got any plans for this coming weekend? Here's a list of a few fun events you can check out in Seattle.

1. Sexy Shakespeare

November 6-21, 2015
The Ballard Underground
2220 NW Market St, Seattle, WA 98107
(206) 395-5458

Sexy Shakespeare. It's like Shakespeare, but, you know, sexy. Obvious statements aside, go check out the Ghost Light Theatricals production of As You Like It at the Ballard Underground this weekend. A more modernized and sensual version of the play, Emily Harvey's adaptation will leave you laughing hysterically. I really can't put it any better than Ghost Light's website: This ain't your grandparents' Shakespeare.

2. Origins: Life and the Universe

November 7, 2015 at 2 PM
Benaroya Hall
200 University St, Seattle, WA 98101
(206) 215-4800

Have you ever wanted to go to a concert in outer space? Of course you have, why am I asking stupid questions? Well, maybe you don't have the funds to climb about a spaceship and go watch Lady Gaga, but Origins: Life and the Universe is the next best thing. Prepare for the delightful sounds of a full symphony orchestra conducted by David Sabee (who has won a GRAMMY by the way, no big deal...) whilst watching films of some of the greatest achievements in the history of space (Yes, ALL of space) on a gigantic projector screen. It will truly be an... Out of this world experience! (THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT!)

3. 51st Annual Heather Tartan Ball & Silent Auction

Seattle Latvian Center
11710 3rd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125
(206) 362-9894

I'm actually Irish, but boy do I love me Scottish brethren, and this weekend the Seattle Scottish Highland Games Association is throwing a ball. Come dance to Scottish music, eat Scottish food, and engage in a Silent Auction. You might even take home some cool stuff afterwards. Make sure you wear underwear beneath your kilt though, we don't need any incidents...

If you've seen the movie Adaptation fifty times like I have, or you're just more knowledgeable about flowers than I am, you'll know that there are way more than a few types of orchids out there. This show is gonna have all kinds of dazzlingly rare orchids on display, including some you can actually buy that you won't find in any stores. There'll be a few seminars on how to take care of this gorgeous flowers as well, so come check it out this weekend. Also did I mention that admission is free?

5. Seattle Lakes Lunch Cruise

November 7, 2015 through April 30, 2016, Saturdays at Noon
Waterways Cruises and Events
2441 N. Northlake Way
Seattle, WA 98103

There's no doubt Lake Washington and Lake Union are beautiful, but have you seen them from a boat yet while getting a tour and lunch? Take one of these lunch cruises for a buffet and a guided tour around the pristine waters of these two great lakes for 2 hours to serenity. There's a bar too, so you can really have some fun if you want. Any time you get to literally say "I'm on a BOAT!" (That reference has gotten really dated, so what, see if I care) is a good time.

6. If/Then (A Musical About Choices)

Halloween may be over, but fortunately The Walking Dead Season 6 is still on TV, and zombie madness is far from over! Room Escape Adventures will give you some walker-centric good times this weekend, when you and your group get chained together in a room with a zombie and have only an hour to work together and escape!
