8 Incredibly Fun Things to Do in Las Vegas

Here is a short list of some of the most fun and exciting things to do in Las Vegas. Pick your poison!

Hailed as the entertainment capital of the world, this city is alive and bursting with energy 24/7! There are about a million things to do in Las Vegas! Confused? Don’t know where to start with so many things to do? Here are some suggestions to give you a head start to F-U-N:

Hike, bike, or have picnic at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

Source: http://affordablevegastours.com/

Appointed as a Nevada National Conversation Area, the 195,819-acre Red Rock Canyon gets more than a million visitors each year. It offers a stark contrast to sparkling Las Vegas. While people go to Las Vegas for the casinos, clubbing and take part in the vibrant nightlife, only 17 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock offers more than 30 miles of hiking trails, a 13-mile scenic drive, and outdoor activities such as biking, horseback riding, and rock climbing.

Hikes range from easy to strenuous, beginning with the .75 mile Fire Ecology Trail that runs out into Pine Creek Wash to the strenuous hike going all the way to Turtlehead Peak, where you get to admire sweeping views of the Red Rock Canyon from the peak. It may not be an easy climb, but is sure as heck worth it when you get to the top.

For an easy yet picturesque hike, consider the Lost Creek Trail. This "self-guided interpretive trail introduces many different features of the Mojave Desert at Red Rock Canyon, including petroglyphs, lessons of desert life, towering views, and a hidden waterfall in the canyon." Great for kids too!

The Red Rock Canyon Scenic Loop is located at 3205 State Route 159, Las Vegas, NV 89161.

Smaller creatures, such as a variety of tropical fish, octopuses and crustaceans, are also included in the exhibits. Other notable creatures are a giant sunfish, and a huge mako shark that measures up to 15 feet.

The exhibit aims to provide information to the public about the world's oceans, and a greater understand on how humanity affects the marine wildlife. It also aims to educate about the conservation and preservation of these magnificent creatures.

Get your heart pumping with one of these thrilling rides at the Stratosphere

Source: http://www.justmytravelling.com/archives/2185

Head over to the Stratosphere Las Vegas to experience these four exciting activities!

Get yourself strapped into the Big Shot and get ready to be flung 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour! This would be a great opportunity to see the Las Vegas skyline at 1,081 feet up in the air. If you manage to open your eyes and look, that is.

Source: http://vimeo.com

For an overwhelming experience, try Insanity. Imagine being up at 900 feet, seated in one of the “fingers” of a big mechanical “hand”, and its arm can extend out 64 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower. Crazy enough? That’s not all. Your seat gets tilted down until your body is facing straight down! But you're rewarded with a beautiful view of Las Vegas twinkling like a jewel under you. That is, if you can contain your panic and stop screaming your head off.

Imagine being on a giant see saw, dangling high up in the air! The X-Scream will push you 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower. You will find yourself 866 feet above the Las Vegas strip! Then pulled back, and pushed over the edge some more!

Lastly, and this is not for the faint of heart, walk to the edge of the Stratosphere Tower and JUMP OFF from 829 feet! The Skyjump is the Guinness World Record holder for “Highest Commercial Decelerator Descent.”

Located at the MGM Grand, Hakkasan is probably one one of the world's biggest and most expensive nightclubs. The entire nightclub measures about 75,000 square feet, and has 500 employees! Rumor has it that they have spent over 65 million dollars on famous DJs for the first two years! Well, the DJs spinning here are the best of the best, big names like Tiesto, Afrojack and Calvin Harris, for example.

Countless stairs connect this establishment's five floors, which features a massive dance floor, comfortable bar areas, and the Ling Ling Lounge, which allows club goers to escape the wild party and relax for a bit.

As one of the grandest nightclubs in the City of Sin, you can easily burn a hole through your pocket at here at Hakkasan. You could easily spend up to half a million dollars in one night by ordering the Dynastie Package, which includes nine bottles of 55,000-dollar champagne! Can't afford? How about the Zen Package at 12,000 dollars? It includes ten bottles of Dom Perignon, a bottle of Patron Platinum and two magnums of Grey Goose. This is also one of the few places where you can order The Macallan 1950, which is a 52-year aged, single malt whiskey that is really rare.
