The Blue Jam Cafe has been the go to restaurant for brunch in Hollywood for almost a decade. Originally from Czechoslovakia. the owners Kamil and David wanted to create a place which celebrated world cuisine, and in particular wanted to make breakfast a lot more interesting!
Why is it called the Blue Jam Cafe? It is a tribute to the fact that the building used to be a jazz club where greats such as Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie once played.
This is a very popular place for brunch. The word is most certainly out that the Blue Jam Cafe serves one of the best brunches in Hollywood. This means that it is advisable, particularly on weekends, to arrive before 10 am. They serve their breakfast menu from 8 am to 4 pm every day.
Their menu is divided into All Day Breakfast, Health and Fitness, From The Griddle, and Sides and Extras. There are a number of Gluten Free items on the menu, and each selection is clearly marked for those with special dietary requirements.
There is a lot of choice on the menu, and it can be difficult to make your selection from such a large amount of items. The Eggs Benedict are always a winner. The Blu Jam Benedict, and the Florentine Benedict are both $13.95. The Norwegian Benedict is $14.95 and has a good amount of smoked salmon and perfectly poached eggs on an English muffin.
The Italian Breakfast is an interesting choice. This is an original creation with Arborio rice and poached eggs with fresh mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, baby spinach, and fresh herbs. It is priced at $13.95.

If you are counting the calories or avoiding the carbs you should look at the Health and Fitness section of the menu. The Red Quinoa Breakfast Bowl is both vegan, and gluten free. Clementine is open Monday through Friday from 7am to 10:30 am and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. They are closed on Sunday.
The owner, Annie Miller, opened Clementine in 2000. Since that time this small cafe has become a huge part of the Century City cafe scene. The emphasis of this delightful cafe is on creating the best experience for their customers. This means constant change of the menu to utilize fresh readily available ingredients.
The cafe is small and extremely popular, so it is very difficult to get a table here. If you really don't want to wait you should arrive as early as possible, or consider just ordering take out. You order at the counter, are given a number, and then the food is brought to your table.
Everywhere in Los Angeles seems to have quinoa now, and Clementine is no exception. If you have a craving for quinoa and kale you should order the QEGr for $9.25. This is a tasty combination of quinoa, kale and spinach which is topped with a fried egg.

The Hart & The Hunter is a very popular brunch spot in Los Angeles. It can be a little difficult to find as it is located inside the Palihotel in the Beverly Grove area of L.A. The location and design of the restaurant appeals to a generally young crowd. It is very popular, and they only take walk ins. Reservations are not accepted.
The interior design is very appealing, with rustic woods, leather chairs, bold color choices, and patterned dinner ware.
The Brunch Menu is divided into Big, Small, and Sides. The Small menu includes such items as delicious Avocado Toast for $7, Butter Biscuits and Condiments for $10, Smoked Trout for $14, and the delicious Cinnamon Toast for $4.

Chaumont is a great spot for brunch in Beverly Hills. There is indoor and outdoor seating in this popular French style cafe. You will feel as though you have been transported to a Parisian cafe when you sample the delicious pastries and bakery items.
The Chaumont uses organic ingredients where possible. There is a small brunch menu in addition to the large selection of bakery items and pastries.
Prices are reasonable when you consider the reputation and location of this cafe. The Smoked Salmon Poached Eggs are a delicious option which is available for $12.50. If you are in the Beverly Grove area of Los Angeles and looking for a great place for brunch, you whould make your way to the Little Next Door cafe. This French cafe is well worth a visit.
The Pastry Shop part of the menu has some very tempting choices. If you want a simple, but very tasty brunch you can just choose a Chocolate Almond Croissant, and a cup of great coffee. If you are dining with a friend at the weekend the Breakfast Basket is a good choice for $14. They only serve this on Saturday and Sunday.
If you want something more substantial the Little Next Door Cafe has a Breakfast Menu. The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict is delicious. Priced at $15 it has brioche, smoked salmon, capers and hollandaise sauce for $15.
If you have a craving for something sweet, you will enjoy the Mixed Berries and Waffle for $15. Not only does this delicious creation have mixed berries and pecans, it is topped with caramel sauce and whipped mascarpone cream.
You may be far away from the banks of the River Seine but you can enjoy a Parisian Omelet. This has French white ham, gruyère, garlic, onion, wild mushrooms, and a potato gratin for $13.

Blue Daisy is an excellent place to have brunch in Santa Monica. They opened in 2011 and immediately became a huge success. It is a very popular place, and you will most likely have a wait, particularly at weekends. However, some things are worth waiting for, and the Blue Daisy is one of them!
They are particularly known for their amazing tasting crepes. You can choose either a sweet or a savory crepe from their large selection. One of the best is the Classic Crepe for $9.95 which is served with Nutella,fresh bananas and strawberries. The Lemon Sugar Crepe for $7.95 is simple, but delicious. If you would rather try something completely indulgent the Orange Paradise has to be the one to order. This has vanilla ice cream, orange sauce, and Grand Marnier liquor for $10.95.
If you prefer a savory crepe you may enjoy the Smoked Salmon Crepe for $13.75. This has smoked salmon, eggs, and cheese. It is served with an indulgent side of either cream cheese, or bechemal sauce.
All of the waffles and crepes can be made gluten free for an additional charge of $2 per order.

Bru’s Wiffle A Waffle Joint is well worth a visit when you are in Santa Monica. This is a small restaurant, and you will most probably have a wait for a table, but the food is excellent.
The owner Ebru Fidan Caplan is originally from Turkey, and brings her enthusiasm and experience to this friendly breakfast place. The food is made in house and from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients. The result is a friendly restaurant with excellent food, in the heart of Santa Monica.
Who can resist a Chocolate Waffle Party? Available for $13.50, this tasty chocolate waffle is layered with housemade butter cream. To make it even more decadent it is topped with oreos, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Indulgent, but worth it.
Perhaps you would prefer the Red Velvet Waffle. This is priced at $10.50, and is a tasty waffle which is topped with cream cheese frosting. If you want something more traditional you can select a Blueberry Waffle for $12.95, A Banana Pecan Waffle for $9.95, or a Gluten Free Waffle for $8.95.
There are plenty of extra toppings available to order to complete your waffle if you want to make it a more individual creation. These include whipped cream, strawberries, Nutella, chocolate sauce, almond or pecan pieces. If you want to get in touch with your inner child you can even have sprinkles on your waffle! All additional toppings are available for $0.95 each.
The French Toast is also an excellent choice for brunch. The base of the toast is cinnamon sourdough bread. French Toast with strawberries and bananas is $12, Nutella Stuffed French Toast has cream cheese frosting, strawberries and Nutella for $13.50, Banana Stuffed French Toast is available for $13.50.
If you want a very different waffle you could order the Breakfast French Toast for $14.50. This has sausage, fried egg, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
You may never have thought of combining goat cheese with a waffle, but if you want to try how that tastes you should order the Golden Goat Waffle. This is available for $16.50, and is a waffle served with goat cheese and honey.
If you want a more traditional breakfast you should order the Big Breakfast for $14.95. This has sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, and breakfast potatoes served with a waffle or toast.

French Market Cafe
The French Market Cafe is a great place for brunch in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Venice Beach. This place has been serving happy customers for over 20 years. The owner, Agnes Martinez, was born in the South of France. Diners can enjoy a little piece of the French Riviera in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.
The French Market Cafe has a small interior, and most of the tables are outside on the sidewalk. You stand in line to order the food and then take a number to find a table outside. The wait staff then bring the food to your table.
Children are very welcome at The French Market, and so are your four legged friends. There is parking at the back of the cafe. This does get full pretty quickly, but it is a nice feature for customers. If the lot is full there is often street parking nearby.
This is a French cafe and, as you would expect, the crepes are excellent. The Nutella Crepe is available for $7.15.
The French Style BLT for $9.95 is an open toasted sandwich. It has bacon, lettuce greens, and tomato, and is topped with two fried eggs. Another favorite is the Smoked Salmon Omelette or Scrambled Eggs for $12.15. This is served with a salad, baguette, butter and jam. The Ratatouille Omelette is delicious and definitely brings the French influence to Venice Beach. It is priced at $10.95.
There is an excellent selection of traditional French pasties. It is difficult to choose between Pain au Chocolat for $3.25, Croissant or Scone for $2.95, Chausson aux Pommes for $3.45 or the Brioche au Sucre or $2.95.

Gjelina is another great restaurant in the Venice Beach area of Los Angeles. This is a very modern restaurant with very appealing interior design. Rustic wood and modern colors make the Gjelina a very welcoming space.
There is a large indoor restaurant, but if it is a fine day you will probably like to sit in the Los Angeles sunshine on the patio. Reservations are only taken for parties of six people or more.
The brunch and breakfast menu is not huge, but you are sure to find something that you like. There are some unusual items, but it is always good to try something a bit different! Choices include Warm Banana Buckwheat Loaf for $7, Smoked Salmon, Avocado, Goat Cheese, Sprouts, Cherry Tomato and a Hard Egg for $15.
If you like a scramble you could try the Soft Scramble with Minced Herbs for $9, or with Smoked Trout and Mushroom for $12. If you prefer something a little more spicy the Moroccan Baked Eggs with Merguez, Tomato Sauce, Yoghurt and Cilantro for $15.
If you would prefer pancakes there is a choice of Nine Grain Pancakes, Butter and Maple Syrup for $9, or the Lemon Buckwheat Ricotta Pancakes, Creme Fraiche, and Blueberry for $13.
The Niman Ranch BLT is also a great choice. It is available for $13, but if you want to add a Sunny Egg it is $15.

26 Beach Restaurant
26 Beach Restaurant has been a part of the Venice Beach restaurant scene since 1982. This is a very special place in Venice Beach, which combines the influences of Japanese and American cuisine.
The restaurant interior design is very individual and inviting. The interior is small and can only seat 32 diners, but that is part of it's charm. The outdoor patio seats up to 50 diners and even has a retractable roof so it can be used when the weather is not so great. That doesn't happen often in Venice Beach!
26 Beach Restaurant is known for it's French Toast. There is a very large choice of items which include The Tiramasu for $14, Lemon Curd for $15, The Elvis for $15, The Peach Melba for $15, or even The Full Monty for $15.
The scrambled eggs are served with pasta. Sounds unusual, but it works. Choices include Pepperoni and Eggs $13, Green Eggs and Ham $14, Eggs Bolognese $14, and Eggs Quattro Fromage for $13.
Eggs are served over brown rice. Again, this is an unusual combination, but it is a good one! Choices include Smoked Salmon Royal for $16, Chicken Curry Royal for $14, Makin' Jamaican for $14, and Eggs Diablo for $14.
26 Beach Restaurant serves excellent organic coffee, and has a good selection of specialty coffees. An excellent choice is the Fresh Orange Juice for $5. It wouldn't really be brunch without a Mimosa. A glass is available for $7.
