The Banana Bungalow building is motel style with dorm rooms and private rooms available. It is a friendly place and there is plenty to do for all guests. The inner courtyard is a center of a lot of activity. The Banana Bungalow has a karaoke stage, movie room, ping pong, foosball, a basketball area, billiards, and a lounge, tiki garden and courtyard. This is a particularly good hostel choice for groups of friends as there is plenty of space to socialize together.
They also offer discounted shuttles and tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood, Disneyland, Magic Mountain and Los Angeles city.
There are a number of options for accommodation at the Banana Bungalow. If you are looking for the cheapest option then the Budget Traveler Dorm rooms will be your first choice. These are traditional style dorm rooms which sleep either six or eight people in each room. There are lockers available and each dorm room has a private bathroom with a shower.
An upgrade is to the Traveler Dorm rooms. They are a better option if you would like a private kitchen. Again, these dorm rooms have a choice of either six or eight twin bedded rooms. The Traveler Dorms have a full kitchen, private bathroom, air conditioning and a television.
There are also private rooms available. The Budget Private Rooms have a choice of configurations with either a Queen size, Queen plus one or two Twins available. These rooms have a private bathroom as well as a television, small refrigerator, and a microwave.
The Premium Private rooms are the same as the Budget Rooms but they have air conditioning and a full kitchen. They also have a private bathroom which has a tub as well as a shower.

Orange Drive Hostel is in an excellent location, right in the middle of the tourist area of Hollywood. You will be staying just steps away from the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, the Dolby Theatre and the Chinese Theatre.
Here you will enjoy comfortable, clean hostel accommodation in the heart of Hollywood, at a reasonable price. With room rates starting at just $40 per person per night you have to consider a stay at Orange Drive Hostel if you are looking for a bargain in the Hollywood tourist zone.
The exterior looks like a traditional suburban Los Angeles house. You would not expect that this is a hostel from the outside. The house was built in the 1920's at the start of the golden age of Hollywood.
The house is very much part of Hollywood history. When it was a boarding house it welcomed some very famous stars such as Marilyn Monroe, Gary Cooper, Rita Hayworth, and Douglas Fairbanks Jr.
The accommodations are a little dated, but are clean and comfortable. Private rooms and dorm rooms are available. This makes it a great option for individuals, groups and even families looking for good priced, centrally located accommodation. This really isn't known as a party hostel, so it is more suitable for those looking for a quieter stay.
Shared dorms are available which sleep either four or six people in twin bunk bedded rooms. There is a bathroom located next to each dorm room. There are no televisions in either the dorm rooms or the private rooms.
