The Belmont district is a very popular part of Portland, Oregon located in the southeastern portion of the city. Developed around the first trolley in Portland and located inside the Sunnyside neighborhood, the area was established in 1888. Belmont is full of color and diversity. Banefield Value Inn
1525 N.E. 37th Avenue
Six minutes from all the action is the Banefield Value Inn. Decent location and decent sleep quality along with a low price bring a good value to stay in a great city. It is considered old, but that doesn’t mean the quality is old. The hotel is clean and has been updated. Guest laundry is open all day. Located near wonderful dining. They offer single queen and double queen bed rooms. All rooms have free wi-fi, microwave, and refrigerator. Rates start at $65 a night. Reservations can be made online.
949 E Burnside St
A midcentury motor lodge located seven minutes from Belmont is Eastside Lodge. They offer rooms with one queen bed, two queen beds, and one king bed. Non-smoking and smoking options are available. The hotel has free wifi, free parking, and is child friendly. Rooms contain a kitchenette and mini-bar. Friendly staff. No pets allowed. They do have a minimum age not allowing kids under six to stay in the bed and bath. They do not allow pets or smoking and there are no televisions on the property. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of baked goods with gluten free options available as well as tea and coffee. Rates range from $85 in the winter to $135 in the summer.
Clinton Street Guesthouse

Established in 2009, Clinton Street Guesthouse is only 9 minutes from the Belmont area. The house itself is a 1913 crafstman. The two rooms each contain a queen feather bed with a down comfortor and lead out to a private balcony.They each have their own bath with a luxury of a heated floor. Reviews rave over the owner’s cooking so do make sure to have breakfast at the guesthouse, which begins at 7:30am in the main foyer and consists of homemade yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, and a delicious baked good. They require a two night minimum for each stay although you can stay just one night with additional $15 charge. Each room is limited to two guests and they do not allow children under the age of 10. No pets and no smoking are allowed on the guesthouse grounds. They are not wheelchair accessible. . The low season, November to April, room rates are $135. In the high season, rooms rate at $170.
