San Diego: The 6 Most Exciting Six Flags Attractions
Feel it! Embrace it! Be adventurous and visit Six Flags Magic Mountains!
Whether you are interested in a good scream, getting wet or experiencing some fright while on vacation in San Diego, Six Flags is the place for you to be! When you get there, do not leave without experiencing at least three of the six amazing attractions compiled on this list.
Whether from a biblical perspective, or based on what you’ve seen and read in comics, your thoughts probably are “aint nothing good associated with the Apocalypse,” and I can’t blame you. It’s totally understandable. However, that is not the case when you think of this Six Flags ride.
Scary? Mmmm.. A little. Fun? Yesssss!!!
The apocalypse is a two minutes ride that takes you around, down, up and over! The ride could be longer! Haha! But it is a whole lot of fun and I insist that you try it!! I wouldn’t say it’s the best but it’s possibly my favorite. I think being able to stand throughout the ride removes a lot of fears or chills you’d normally experience if you were sitting down.
The Apocalypse goes at a maximum speed of 55 mph and has a minimum height of 4 feet, so you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
2. Batman The Ride
Forgive me if I sound a little too bias about this ride but my favorite superhero has always been Batman and I’ve always found his “ride” to be extremely attractive and sexy!! I could go for a spin in that car any day!! LOL. Going on “Batman The Ride” at Six Flags is the closest I’ll probably get in this lifetime and that works for me. There is nothing disappointing about this ride. Yes, it is much scarier than Apocalypse but come on… isn’t Batman a better superhero?? (think on it) *winks*. What is it really like going on a roller coaster that flies?
As you ride up the stunning 115-foot lift hill, enjoy the view of the pretty sky, because in just a moment you’ll be flying through it like a wild bat. The angle is so steep, you can look down on the course, so you’ll get a terrifying sneak preview of the twisted steel route you’ll be coursing over on this super thriller.
Right before you take the first 10-story drop, you’ll whip into a “lie-to-fly” twist and suddenly, you’re airborne. Face down with nothing beneath you, you’re flying now, so raise your hands out in front of you and go full Super Hero. At a thrilling 51 miles per hour, you’ll blast through the drop and bank over a crazy horseshoe curve. Then you’ll flip back into “fly-to-lie” mode, just in time for a 66-foot vertical loop that you’ll take on your back, head first. Starting to understand how a winged-creature maneuvers? Good, because now you’re free to fly through a series of inline twists and a DNA-helix with the grace of a billionaire bat.
3. Full Throttle
I don’t know about others but the sight of the Full Throttle makes me scared. Lol. With a minimum height of 4 feet 5 inches, it loops to 160 feet in the sky. Giving you an amazing view of above and below, you are sure to mix those screams with beautiful smiles. By the way, did I mention that this ride has secured its spot in the Guinness World Records Book as the world's tallest looping coaster? Well, I just told you!! Despite the amazingness of this ride, I am just so scared lol but I definitely recommend you to go for it. Do not be a shy shy baby like myself. It’s just a circle. You can do it!
4. Twisted Colossus
When you think the best of the best for roller coasters—think the twisted colossus! One of the most creative “inventions” produced by Six Flags. No one would have expected its manufacturers to do such an amazing job with the old wooden colossus we knew before. I didn’t. I’m not quite imaginative when it comes on to certain things. Nonetheless, I absolutely love it!! What is there not to love?? And you surely need to go on it!! Experience the “longest, most innovative hybrid coaster in the world.” (https://holiday.sixflags.com)
The X2 is another roller coaster ride which has improved on a similar previously existing ride of its kind.
This 5D roller coaster speed-blasts through dives, flips and twists while spinning you in delirious 360°.
It has a minimum height of 4 feet, akin to the apocalypse I mentioned earlier.
Initially, I wanted to write on the five most exciting six flags attractions in San Diego but I just couldn’t leave this beast off!! It would not be fair to you guys and it certainly would not be fair to my memories! Tatsu has created its name! It has competed against other roller coasters, and not to mention numerous exhilarating and fun attractions—not included on this list, such as the Green Lantern: First Fright, Scream, Slingshot and Superman: Escape from Krypton Ride- to secure a position in the top six. I have no reservations that you will love him! Make the best of your vacation
