3 Restaurants You'll Love in Oceanside, California

There are so many great restaurants in Oceanside - here are our favorites for you to enjoy.

The coastal California town of Oceanside is beginning to make it's mark as a place for excellent dining. In this beautiful town, you'll find everything from small "hole-in-the-wall" places, to fine dining. Here, we share with you our tried and trusted restaurants in Oceanside that we think that you'll enjoy.

Rosina's Italian Restaurant at Del Oro

Rosina's Italian Restaurant at Del Oro is a hidden gem in a very unexpected location. Located about a 20 minute drive the from Oceanside pier, this Italian restaurant is in the middle of a mostly residential area. It is well worth the drive though, as it serves excellent Italian food in a very pleasant setting.
The restaurant is brightly decorated and has a friendly atmosphere. There is also a very nice outdoor patio.

The menu has a choice of Antipasti, Pasta, Pizza, Carne e Pesce or Cresepelle. On the Antipasti menu, an excellent choice is the Burrata alla Palla which is fresh mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes for $10.95.
The pasta choices range from $12.95 to $17.95, and there are gluten-free pasta dishes available. If you want something simple, you can't go wrong with the Spaghetti Pomodoro Fresco, which is fresh tomato sauce, garlic and basil for $12.95. If you want something a little more substantial, then perhaps you'll want to try the Saltimbocca Del Oro pork tenderloin with proscuitto and mozzarella for $17.95.
The pizzas are delicious and are priced between $9.95 for a simple Margarita to $11.95 for the Di Carne Pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and prosciutto.

The wine list includes domestic and Italian wines which are available by the glass or the bottle. Every Monday, you can bring your own wine and the corkage fee is waived.

The Wrench and Rodent Seabasstropub

With a unique name such as this, there's no doubt that The Wrench and Rodent Seabasstropub deserves a visit! This restaurant is most definitely one of the finest restaurants in Oceanside. What you wouldn't guess from the name is that it's a sushi place - and one of the best in the San Diego area.

The Wrench and Rodent is welcoming and eclectic inside, but is actually quite difficult to find. Davin Waite's restaurant really doesn't look like much from the outside, but step through the doors and it's a whole different story. If you like craft beer, sushi and punk rock then you have found your happy place.

If you feel as though you want to put your dining choices into the chef's hands then ask for the Omikase, and they will serve up their recommendations to you. If you want to be more conventional, then there is plenty to please you on the menu. There are the traditional choices, California Roll $5, Spicy Tuna $6 and Rainbow Roll $11. If you want to try something different, then the Ceviche Flight is very popular at just $8. Also, try the Ginger Devils and Hedgehog Rolls for $14 each. They're worth every penny!

The Wrench and Rodent also has a great choice of craft beers, wine and sake.

333 Pacific - Steaks & Seafood

333 Pacific - Steaks & Seafood is a fine dining experience just steps away from Oceanside Pier. There are some excellent views of the ocean from the window side tables and the outdoor patio. The decor is very upscale and the service pleasantly attentive. If you want fine dining in Oceanside, then you need to experience 333 Pacific.

The menu is varied and it's difficult to know which item(s) to choose. The menu has Beginnings, Soups & Greens, Seafood, Vegetarian, Raw Bar & Sushi, 333 Signatures and Steaks. The first time that we visited, we chose the Vegetable Stir Fry at $22.50 and the Crab Cake followed by the Pan Roasted Salmon. Delicious!

For dessert, you should try the Creme Brulee or Flourless Chocolate Cake, both priced at $9.

The 33 Pacific has a full bar menu. We like the Key Lime Pie and The Lemon Drop, both priced at $8. They'er not too heavy on the alcohol, but they taste really good! Also, many of the drinks at 333 Pacific are served in stylish glasses which adds to the overall experience. If you enjoy vodka, then you'll certainly enjoy 333 Pacific, as they have a extensive choice of vodkas on the menu.
