Most people try their luck at casinos on the Las Vegas Strip; however, some might want to try their luck in a different location. North Las Vegas has many casinos for you to try your luck and this list should help you find one in the sea of casinos in Las Vegas.

1. Texas Station Gaming Hall and Hotel

The Texas Station has all the charm of a casino on the Vegas Strip but without the high tourist density. The gaming offered by the casino includes slot machines, video poker machines, table gaming (such as Poker and Black Jack), bingo, keno, and race & sports books. There are over 1700 machines in the building including in the non-smoking area. Some machines also allow any player the chance to win the Megabucks Progressive Jackpot which is worth at least $10 million. The Race & Sports Book is located in its own separate room with 33 large plasma screen TVs covering every major sporting events on a given night, making it easy for those who want to bet on multiple sporting events to do so. Players who want to play keno can sit in the small keno lounge which is open daily, and games start at a dollar.

2. Bighorn Casino

For those tourists who like to act like a local, this casino in North Las Vegas has that locals-only vibe. The casino is not as flashy or big as the other casinos in the area especially those who cater to tourists. The casino is small and only offers slot machines and table gaming. It is also a far drive from the Vegas strip which only adds to the locals-only vibe. However it does have a restaurant like most casinos in Vegas.

3. Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino

As a sister casino to the previous mentioned Texas Station, the Santa Fe Station has the same charm and vibe as its sister casino. However, the Santa Fe has more than 2400 slot machines, so those who want to play the slots have more chances of wining and/or finding their favorite slot game to play. The race & sports book is similar to the one at the Texas Station, but the book at the Santa Fe has a 114 foot video wall. This makes it easier for any one making bets to see if they won money or not. For those who want to play keno, the Santa Fe also has keno games that start at a dollar.

4. Cannery Casino & Hotel

As the proclaimed best casino in North Las Vegas, the Cannery Casino & Hotel may not have as many slot and video poker machines (over 1650 machines) as the Santa Fe Station, but it is better for players who like to play table games and bet on sports. There are multiple gaming tables including poker, black jack, and craps. Betting minimums start as low as $3 and maximums can be as high as $1000. The Race and Sports room has the standard large TV screens for people who are betting, but it also allows people to watch games on individual monitors. There are also non-smoking rooms available for those who cannot and/or do not want to be around smokers.

5. Aliante Casino & Hotel

The Aliante Casino & Hotel may have the same friendly vibe as most of the other casinos mentioned, but it has the easiest way to make bets. The Aliante offers a Race and Sports app that allows people to bet on sporting events on the go. This makes it easier for those who want to place a bet and play other games at the casino because they can check the app to see if they won. It also makes it accessible to those who want to make a bet but do not want to go into a race and sports room for whatever reason. The casino also has over 1800 slot machines and offers table games such as black jack, poker, and roulette. Also, like the Station Casinos, the Aliante has a bingo hall for those who want to win money but do not want to gamble.

6. Fremont Hotel & Casino

While it is more in Downtown Las Vegas than it is in North Vegas, the Fremont Hotel & Casino is a great basic casino for testing your luck in Vegas. The casino has over 1000 machines to play slots, video poker, or keno. Also, the casino lets you find the current slot machines that are available to play at the casino on their website. There are 24 table games such as poker and black jack. The race and sports book is like any standard one in Vegas, but the one at the Fremont Hotel has a video wall. Live Keno games are available for those who want to play.

7. Binion's Gambling Hall

Like the Fremont Hotel & Casino, Binion's Gambling Hall is near North Vegas but is actually in downtown. This gambling hall is perfect for those who want to play poker in Vegas; in fact it is famous for its poker games. There are other table games available like black jack. Those looking to bet on sports can go to the gambling hall's William Hill Race & Sports Book. Over 800 slot machines and video poker games are available too.

Hopefully this list will help you get lucky in Las Vegas. Maybe you might win at the slots at the Santa Fe Station or you might win money by betting on any sport with Aliante's app for race and sports books. However you choose to test your luck, may the casinos in North Vegas favor it.
